(Millis, MA July 1, 2024)—Professional photographer Christine Chambers of Christine Chambers Images in Millis, MA was elected to the Professional Photographers of America (PPA) Council for the 2024 – 2027 term. An international nonprofit association with more than 35,000 members, PPA is ultimately governed by its members through such council representatives.

Christine states that the following: I hope to help lead the organization through this time of massive change. With the onset of artificial intelligence, we need to grow with those changes or be left behind. By working with my other councilors, I hope that we can find ways to continue to support our fellow photographers as we navigate these changes.

PPA Councilors are professional photographers who volunteer their time and service to guide and act as the voice for their state's PPA members. Duties include discussing and voting on changes to the bylaws and the association's leadership (via the election of the Nominating Committee and the Board of Directors). They also play a crucial role in sharing the PPA message to existing, new, and prospective PPA members in their state.

Christine is a photographer based out of Millis serving maternity, newborn and children, families, high school and college seniors, pets, glamour and boudoir, headshots, and fine art painted portraits. She is a certified professional photographer within PPA and is working towards her master of photography degree. She gives back to the community by providing photographic services for community events and donates her services for different outreach programs. She is also a member of the Cultural Council of Millis in an effort to expand arts in the community.
